"Scottish Labour Deputy Leader Alex Rowley said: “It is disappointing but no surprise to see Ian Blackford taking large donations from a Tory hedge fund manager.
“Hedge fund managers can donate to SNP politicians safe in the knowledge that they will continue to talk left in Westminster, and govern right in Holyrood – voting against Labour’s progressive proposals to increase the top rate of income tax to 50p and give our NHS workers a pay rise.”
The latest register of interests showed Mr Craigen donated a second £3000 to Mr Blackford.
Mr Craigen previously donated £3000 to Mr Blackford, just before the 2015 General Election.
At the time Mr Blackford said he had “no knowledge of him being a Tory” and said they had personal ties from his previous role in the finance sector. Blackford cannot make that excuse a second time.

"The abuse was not just limited to social media but spilled over into physical intimidation (not unknown in SNP campaigns) involving Charles’ office staff, reported on Twitter by Caron Lindsey, Editor of Liberal Democrat Voice:
“The SNP candidate for the area, Ian Blackford, stormed in this morning with 4 supporters and shouted at everyone, wagging his finger at a member of staff….. He threatened “retaliation,” of an unspecified nature if they did not apologise and retract something entirely verifiable that they’d said on Facebook.”

This was apparently triggered by LibDem posters describing Blackford as a “Banker from Edinburgh”, which is not incorrect and no fair-minded person could ever take this as a slur, especially from Charles Kennedy – this was not his style.
However, the overly sensitive SNP were angered by the perceived sleight that Blackford was not a Skye man but an “outsider”. Thus the hate campaign against Charles increased considerably after this point."

Brian Smith, who was convenor of the SNP's Skye and Lochalsh branch, called the former Liberal Democrat leader a "drunken slob" and "quisling-in-chief".
The tweets were sent before Mr Kennedy's death on 1 June, which was caused by a major haemorrhage linked to his long battle with alcoholism.
Mr Kennedy lost his seat to the SNP's Ian Blackford in last month's election.
Mr Smith, who has now deleted his @lobsterferret Twitter account, is reported to have sent more than 130 messages to Mr Kennedy before and immediately after the vote.
